TROUBLESHOOTING
LCD monitor When used in cold
weather, the image
may seem to leave
traces as it moves.
The image
displayed contains
some red, blue and
green dots, or there
are black spots
visible.
The area around
the LCD monitor is
warm.
When capturing an
image, no image is
displayed on the
LCD monitor.
No playback image
appears.
Viewing
The focus does not
images
work.

Condition due to the
liquid crystals.
This is due to the
internal structure and
is normal.
The main switch is set
to "MONITOR OFF".
The main switch is not
set to Ô.
The subject is too
close to the digital
camera.
The focus is not set
properly.
The digital camera
moved when the
shutter was released.
The focus is not locked
properly.
The lens is dirty.
Cause

Spots that appear in the
LCD monitor only appear
in the monitor and will not
be recorded with the
images.

Set the main switch to Ô.
The distance for macro
photography (focus set to
c) is 10 to 50 cm. The
distance for standard
photography is 50 cm or
more.
Hold the digital camera
correctly and slowly press
the shutter release button
halfway to lock the focus.
Then press the shutter
release button all the way
to capture the image.
When using a slow shutter
setting, use a tripod to
stabilize the digital camera.
Clean the lens.
