Turning Power on/off

• When switching the power on/off, do not put any obstacle in front of the lens.
• When the operational mode dial is set to the REC mode and the power
switch is set to [ON] without removing the lens cap, this message is
displayed: "REMOVE LENS CAP AND PRESS SET BUTTON". After
removing the lens cap, press the [REVIEW/SET] button 1.

Set the power switch to [ON].
• The status indicator lights.

Set the power switch to [OFF].
Before using the camera, by adjusting the
dioptor, it is possible to see the AF target
1 inside the viewfinder well.

Adjust the diopter, rotating the diopter
adjustment dial.
• Moving the zoom lever towards T and
taking pictures at a distance of 70 cm -
1 m from the subject, make the top of
the subject match with the parallax
compensation mark 2, in order not to
cut it. When an accurate framing is
necessary, use the LCD monitor.
