In this case the iPod’s screen is used for navigation, while the K8 or the iPod itself is used to control operations. With this mode of connection the FD 100 can only control the iPod. The iPod passes no infor- mation to the K8 through this connection, and therefore the FD 100 has no information to display.
Make sure there are no loose objects on the support surface which could cause rattling noises or resonance effects. The K8 should be set up in a dry, well-ventilated site, out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. The unit must not be located close to heat-producing objects or devices, or anything which is heat-sensitive or highly inflammable.
