CAUTION: Never pry against the scroll weldment when removing the deflector or
discharge chute, or at any other time. This will cause damage to the machine.
CAUTION: Be certain the flywheel turns freely before trying to process more material
into the chipper hopper.
TO DISASSEMBLE
1.Disconnect the PTO Shaft.
2.Remove any material in the Chipper
Hopper.
3.Remove the two bolts and locknuts with
Wrench and then remove the access cover.
4.Check to see if the Flywheel and the Knife are clogged. If it is, clear it with a branch.
5.With a wooden stick, loosen and remove any material left in the Chipping Chamber and
make sure the Flywheel turns freely with the stick.
TO REASSEMBLE
1.Position the access cover onto the Chipper and secure with two bolts and locknuts using
Wrench.
2.Reconnect the PTO Shaft, start the Tractor engine and engage the PTO; allowing the
remaining material in the Chipping Chamber to discharge.
3.If the Chipping Chamber doesn't clear and the flywheel is still jammed, repeat the process.

TRANSPORTATION SAFETY

· Before transporting, be certain the chipper is correctly and securely attached to your
Tractor and the PTO safety chains are in place.
· Make sure the chipper is raised high enough to clear all obstacles during transportation.
· Never transport the machine long distances.
· Never allow anyone to ride on the chipper.
· Never transport anything on the machine.
· Never transport the chipper with the PTO engaged.
· Obey local, state, and federal regulations when transporting the machine on public roads
and highways.
· Factor in the added length of the chipper in driving situations, e.g., when turning, parking,
and crossing intersections.
· Adjust your speed for terrain and conditions.
· Use caution when backing or turning. Be aware of the large turning radius required with
The PTO-driven 4.5" wood chipper attached to your Tractor.

MACHINE ASSEMBLY

1. Set up the chipper stand plates and tighten
the bolts;
