5. View/Change programs
Press "PROG" key , the program of the current day is ready to be changed . Press
"PROG" again can advance to the next day and the program of that day will be
shown . Press "PROG#" to change the program. PROG 0 to 9 are preset and can
not be changed. PROG 10 to 19 are user-define programs. You can use Ç o R key
to change the distribution of comfort or economy temperature mode and hour review
the setting. Press OK can return to normal operation mode.
PROG 0 is a special program. It will set the whole day to defrost temperature 7°C. If
cooling mode is selected, it will turn off the system.
PROG 10 to 19 are set to whole day comfort before you do any change.
When the thermostat is just started or reset the temperature setting from Monday to
Sunday are set to PROG1 .
There are PROG 0 to PROG 9 as the diagram shown:
Note:
The 20 programs are common to all seven week days. This means that you change
one of the user-define program of a day, the same program of the other day will also
be changed.
6. Thermostat mode setting
The thermostat mode, such as cooling or heating system , output on delay enable or
not , span 1°C or 2°C, can be selected. You can use thermostat mode key "1C/2C",
"DLY", "CL/HT" to select the mode you want. To change the mode , first press the
"MODE" key and then press the thermostat mode key to make your selection. When
finish the selection, you must press OK to finish the thermostat mode setting. Othe-
rwise your setting will not be set.
6.1 Span setting
Span is the temperature difference between the turn on temperature and turn off tem-
perature. 1°C or 2°C of span can be selected. To select simply press "1C/2C" key
during the thermostat mode setting. When you select , the corresponding "1°" or "2°"
will appear on the LCD. For example , you are now in heating system , the span is
1°C and now the temperature setting is 19°C. You system will be started at 18.5°C
and stopped at 19.5°C. If the span is 2°C, your system will be started at 18°C and
stopped at 20°C.
6.2 Output-on delay
If the output-on delay is selected , the external system will switch on only if it has been
off for more than 5 minutes. To select simply press "DLY" key during the thermostat
mode setting. The start delay indicator "DLY" will appear on the LCD. If cooling sy-
stem is selected, this function will be activated automatically.
6.3 Cooling/Heating system
To select simply press "CL/HT" key during the thermostat mode setting. If heating
system be selected, the heating system indicator "HT" will appear on the LCD. If
cooling system, the "CL" will appear. Please note that normally for a heating system
the comfort temperature is higher than the economy temperature , while it is reverse
for a cooling system.
Note:
Never use a pencil to push the reset button, because the graphite residue can cause
short circuit and damage the thermostat.
8. Control a cooling system
When select to control a cooling system. The operation is similar to that of the heating
system . However, there are some differences between them, as the following:
8.1 In general the comfort temperature of a cooling system is lower than the economy
temperature.
8.2 The switching is reversed : The thermostat switches on the system when the room
temperature is higher than the set temperature.
8.3 When PROG 0 the defrost temperature mode will switch off the cooling system.
8.4 The output-on delay 5 minutes will be selected automatically regardless of the
setting of the key.
