– For removal of the dust box 9, push the two
unlocking buttons 11 and pull the dust box
downward out of the dust extraction 14.
– Insert the adapter box 25 from below into
the dust extraction until it can be heard to
engage.
– Place a vacuum hose 27 (accessory) onto the
vacuum connection 26. Connect the vacuum
hose 27 with a vacuum cleaner (accessory).
An overview for the connection of various
vacuum cleaners can be found at the end of
these instructions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the ma-
terial being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially det-
rimental to health or carcinogenic, use a special
vacuum cleaner.
Adjusting the Drilling Depth (see figure I)
The required drilling depth X can be set with the
depth stop 28.
– Insert the SDS-plus drilling tool to the stop
into the SDS-plus tool holder 1. Otherwise,
the movability of the SDS-plus drilling tool
can lead to incorrect adjustment of the drill-
ing depth.
– Without switching the power tool on, apply it
firmly to the drilling location. The SDS-plus
drilling tool must face against the surface.
– Push the button for depth stop adjustment
16 and adjust the depth stop 28 so that the
clearance X in the figure corresponds with
your requested drilling depth.
Adapting the Dust Extraction to the Tool
Length (see figure J)
For more convenient working with short drilling
tools, the length of the dust extraction 14 can be
adapted.
– Push and hold button 13 and slide the tele-
scopic guide 15 into the dust extraction 14
until the dust collector is close to the tip of
the drilling tool.
– To draw out the telescopic guide, push but-

Dust Collector for Drill Bits (see figure K)
– To change the dust collector 17, push the re-
lease button 29 and pull the dust collector
out of the dust extraction.
– To insert the dust collector 17, push it from
above into the dust extraction 14 until it can
be heard to engage.
Dust Collector for Core Bits (Accessory)
(see figure L)
For drilling with core bits, the dust collector for
drill bits 17 must be replaced against a special
dust collector for core bits 30 (accessory).
When using the dust collector for core bits, the
adapter box 25 (accessory) must be used for
dust extraction, not the dust box 9.
– If required, remove the dust collector for drill
bits 17.
– To insert the dust collector for core bits 30,
push it from above into the dust extraction
until it can be heard to engage.
– For removal of the dust collector for core bits
30, push the latching projection 31 outward
and pull off the dust collector upward.
