Deafgard - Quick User Guide

How to use
1. Ensure unit is On (LCD will be displayed and the Status LED on the top of
the unit will flash green in 15 second intervals). Listening circuits will not
work if unit is off.
2. Place the Pillow Pad under the pillow with the Deafgard unit on the
bedside table.
3. When a Fire Alarm condition is detected the Pillow Pad will pulse, the
Strobe LEDs will flash and the LCD will display 'FIRE'.
Note: The Pillow Pad will not vibrate when placed in the Cradle.
To Set the Time
1. Press Button 2 for two seconds and release.
2. Use Button 3 to adjust hour, press again to adjust minute.
3. Press Button 2 to save hour, press again to save set time.
Note: Deafgard uses a 24 hour clock.
To Set the Wake-up Alarm
1. Press Button 5 for two seconds.
2. Use Button 3 to adjust hour.
3. Press Button 5 to save hour.
4. Use Button 3 to adjust minute
5. Press Button 5 to save Alarm time.
6. Use Button 6 to toggle Alarm On or Off function. (A Bell icon will appear
on the LCD when Alarm Clock function is On.)
7. Button 4 will Snooze the Alarm for eight minutes before repeating the
Alarm.
Note: When the Wake-up Alarm is activated the Pillow Pad will
vibrate constantly and the strobe LED's will not flash.
To Stop the Wake-up Alarm press Button 6.
