MAINTENANCE/ADJUSTMENTS Maintenance Grease the auger, jack-shaft, & blower shaft bearings every 25 hours. Do not over grease. Usually one or two pumps is sufficient. Additional lubrication may be required in extremely harsh or dirty conditions. Check the gearbox every 100 hours or seasonally. If necessary, add 80-90 weight gear oil.
MAINTENANCE/ADJUSTMENTS Adjustments Spring Tension Adjustment: The spring tension is adjustable for all the belts. This is to allow some belt slippage to protect the gearbox and drive components in the event an immovable object stops the auger or fan. At the factory, the spring is installed with a limited amount of tension. If re- quired, the spring tension can be increased.
