Suddenly, my refrigerator is not running/cooling. It has power as lights are on. We had a storm last night but it does have power.

Your Whirlpool WRX988SIBM01 refrigerator may not be cooling even though the lights are on due to several possible reasons:

1. Control or Cooling Not Turned On – Ensure that the refrigerator control or cooling function is turned on. Check the "Using the Controls" section of the manual for instructions.

2. New Installation – If the refrigerator was recently installed, allow 24 hours for it to cool completely.

3. Electrical Supply Issues – Verify that the refrigerator is properly plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and that the household fuse or circuit breaker has not tripped.

4. Room Temperature and Door Usage – If the room is hot, a large amount of food was added, or the doors are frequently opened or left open, the refrigerator may take longer to cool.

If the issue persists, consider contacting Whirlpool service for further assistance.
