Fuel Filter

Replace the fuel filter after every 200 operating hours
or yearly, whichever occurs first.
Replacing the Fuel Filter
Never install a dirty filter if it is removed from the
fuel line.
1.
Disengage the power take off (PTO), set the
parking brake, and turn the ignition key to
"OFF" to stop the engine. Remove the key.
2.
Close fuel shut–off valve at fuel tank (Fig. 26).
3.
Squeeze the ends of the hose clamps together
and slide them away from the filter (Fig. 27).
4.
Remove the filter from the fuel lines.
5.
Install a new filter and move the hose clamps
close to the filter.
6.
Open fuel shut-off valve at fuel tank (Fig. 26).

7.
Rotate control rod 1/2 turn, to lengthen rod, and
tighten jam nuts (Fig. 31).

Hydraulic System

Checking the Hydraulic Fluid
Check the hydraulic fluid level before engine is first
started and after every 8 operating hours.
Fluid Type: Mobil Fluid 424 (ISO 46) or equivalent
anti–wear hydraulic fluid.
IMPORTANT: Use only hydraulic oils
specified. Other fluids could cause system
damage.
Tank Capacity: 6 qt. (5.7 l)
1.
Position machine on a level surface and stop the
engine and set the parking brake.
2.
Clean area around filler neck of hydraulic tank
(Fig. 28).
3.
Remove cap from filler neck and look inside to
check fluid level. Fluid level should be above the
bottom of the screen (Fig. 28).
4.
If level is low, add fluid to raise level to above
the bottom of the screen (Fig. 28).
5.
Install cap on filler neck.
