INTERNET AND SOCIAL NETWORKING

The following topics describe how to connect to and use the Internet on your phone, and how to
access popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Hangouts, and more.

BROWSER

Your phone's Web browser gives you full access to both mobile and traditional websites on the go,
using 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi data connections.
SSL/TLS
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security) are protocols for encrypting
sent/received data. While in a screen connected by SSL/TLS, data is encrypted to safely
send/receive private information, credit card numbers, corporate secrets, etc., and provide
protection against online threats (eavesdropping, falsification, impersonation, etc.).
SSL/TLS Cautions
When opening a secured page, users must decide as their responsibility whether or not to open
the page with use of SSL/TLS. Virgin Mobile and the applicable Certification Authorities make
no guarantees whatsoever to users regarding security of SSL/TLS.

CHROME BROWSER

In addition to the default "Internet" Web browser, your phone supports the Chrome mobile Web
browser. If you are signed in with a Google Account, the Chrome browser will import all your
bookmarks and other Web preferences for use on your phone.
1. From home, tap Apps
Chrome opens.
2. Tap the address bar at the top and enter search words (for a Google search) or a Web address
(URL).
The search results appear or a Web page opens.
Viewing Web pages
When opening a website, you can navigate on Web pages by sliding your finger on the screen in
any direction to locate the information you want to view.
Pinch/Spread your finger on the screen to zoom out/in of the Web page. To quickly zoom into a
section of a Web page, double touch on the section you want to view. To return to the normal zoom
level, double touch again.
