Note: The bar is adjustable to compensate for
changes in turf conditions. The bar should be
adjusted closer to the reel when turf is extremely
wet. By contrast, adjust the bar further away
from the reel when turf conditions are dry.
The bar should be parallel to the reel to assure
optimum performance and should be adjusted
whenever shield height is adjusted or whenever
the reel is sharpened on a reel grinder.
INSTALL THE GRASS BASKET
1.
Grasp the basket by the top rear lip and slide it
onto the basket mounting rods (Fig. 11).
CHECK INTERLOCK SWITCH
OPERATION
1.
Place the traction lever into the ENGAGE posi-
tion and the engine controls in STARTING posi-
tion.
2.
Try to start the engine. The engine should not
start. If it does, the interlock switch needs ser-
vice. Correct the problem before operating.
