other device is not in your Allowed devices list,
tap
Allow all devices.
5. On the other device, activate Wi-Fi and scan for Wi-Fi
hotspots. Select the name of your phone and enter your
Hotspot password (if required).
Note: Follow the other device's instructions for activating Wi-Fi
and connecting to your phone.

Allowed Devices
You can limit connections to your Hotspot to only those
devices in your Allowed Devices list.
1. From the Home screen, touch

2. Touch More networks
3. Touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

4. Touch Allowed devices to view the Allowed Devices list.
5. To add a new device to the Allowed devices list:
• Touch
Add device.
• Enter the device's name and MAC address.
6. To remove a device from the Allowed devices list:
• Touch
Delete.
• Touch each device you want to delete, or tap Select all.
• Touch Delete.
Note: Using your phone as a portable hotspot consumes
battery power and uses data service. While Portable
Hotspot is active, your phone's applications will use the
Portable Hotspot data service. Roaming while using your
phone as a mobile hotspot will incur extra data charges.
