set the seal gap.
Loosen the front endplate bolts and
pry the front endplate while tightening
the bolts.
This is particularly important if
you have honed or bored your
housing.
24. Seat the bearings, front and rear.
25. You should now be able to turn
the pump by hand.
26. Clean the front bearing cover and
replace the seal.
Lubricate the seal and rotor.
Use sealer on the gasket and install
the bearing cover on the front
endplate.
27. Using an oil squirt can, pump six
squirts into the bearing cavity through
the oil fitting.
Reinstall the oil line.
