Replacing the optical drive

To replace the optical drive, do the following:

•
Make sure the computer is turned off and all the cables disconnected from the computer
before you replace the optical drive.
•
Make sure the computer display is closed to avoid being damaged.
1 Remove the battery pack. For details, see "Replacing the battery pack" on
page 31.
2 Remove the screw
3 Gently pull the optical drive out from its cavity
4 Insert a new optical drive and tighten the screw to secure the drive.
5 Reinstall the battery pack. For details, see "Replacing the battery pack" on
page 31.
