importantwhen the thermostatis
turned downfor an extendedperiod.

through the" low wattage heaters
which warm the outsideof the cabi-

or water droplets.
This change should have no effect
on your fresh food compartment.
However,if freezingoccurs, turn
the numbered control one step
warmer,as from "5"to "4."
Note: Turningthe freshfood control
to "0"stops cooling in BOTH com-
partments–fresh food AND freezer.
How
to
test
temperatures
When you stop turningthe ther-
mostat down, turn temperature
controls back to their regular
settings.
Use the milk test for the fresh food
compartment.

later.If the milkis too warmor
too cold, adjust [he temperature
controls.
No defrosting
It is not necessary to defrost
the freezer or fresh food compart-
ments. Yourrefrigerator isdesigned
and equipped to defrost itself
automatically.
Energy
saver
switch
The Energy SaverSwitchis located
on the upper left side of the fresh
food compartment.
Use the ice cream test for the
freezer compartment.
Place a con-

of ice cream in the center of
[he freezer compartment, Check it
:lf[cra ck~y. If it'stoo harcior too soft,
adjus[ the temperature controls.
ToI reduce the amount of electricity
required
to
operate your r&igera-
tor, push switch to the NORMAL
position.
This turns off heaters in
your refrigerator that prevent mois-
ture from forming on the outside.
