Framing Guideline
The images change as shown below if you press the
DISP/BACK button.

To use the best framing, position the main subject
at the intersection of two lines or align one of the
horizontal lines with the horizon. Use focus lock (pg.
21) to focus on subjects that will not be in the center
of the frame in the fi nal photograph.

The lens may make a noise when the camera focuses.
This is normal.
Taking Pictures in k (Auto) Mode
Focus.
Press the shutter button halfway to focus on
the main subject in the focus frame.

If the camera is able to focus, it will beep twice
and the indicator lamp will glow green.
If the camera is unable to focus, the focus frame
will turn red, a R indicator will appear
in the monitor, and the indicator lamp will
blink green. Change the composition or
use focus lock (pg. 21).
