The word TESTING is displayed and the
ring cycle until measurement is completed.
Measuring error: EE and RETEST will be displayed if the blood pressure
could not be measured exactly. Shortly push and hold the START button (2)
two times and measure again. The cuff must be wrapped around the upper
arm as described in the Operating Instructions. Relax your hand. Do not
move or talk during measuring. Pay attention to the correct posture.

Measuring instructions

A. Measuring blood pressure
a. Put the device on a solid and level surface.
b. Connect the cuff, i.e., the rubber hose (5) to the
connection (4).
c. Wrap the cuff around your upper arm (see sec-
tion 'Putting the cuff around the upper arm').
d. Sit down on a chair and take up an upright positi-
on (see section 'Correct body position for measu-
ring').
e. Push the START button and hold it down for
about 1 second. The number '888' will be shown
on the display for 3 seconds. Then, the display
will show the value '0' (Fig. A). Air pressure is
automatically increased to 190 mmHg. In case of
a tendency to high blood pressure, the air pres-
sure is automatically increased to the required
level (up to 300 mmHg). Do not move or talk
during the measuring cycle.
f. After the air pressure has been increased it is slo-
wly let out. As soon as the pulse has been detec-
ted, the
symbol on the display starts to flash
(Fig. B).
g. After the measuring cycle has been completed,
the values of the systolic, diastolic pressures and
the pulse rate are shown on the display (Fig. C).
After about 3 minutes or pushing the START but-
ton, the device switches off automatically.
h. If you want to repeat the measurement push the
START button two times for about 1 second.
