Electronic Level Calibration

Calibrate the electronic level if it seems ineffective in helping you level the
camera.
For greater calibration accuracy, display grid lines ( = 98) to help you
level the camera in advance.

Make sure the camera is level.
Place the camera on a flat surface, such
z
as a table.

Calibrate the electronic level.
Choose [Electronic Level] on the [ 1] tab,
z
and then press the [
Choose [Calibrate] and press the
z
[
] button. A confirmation message is
displayed.
Touch [OK].

Resetting the Electronic Level
Restore the electronic level to its original state as follows. Note that this is
not possible unless you have calibrated the electronic level.
Choose [Electronic Level] on the [ 1] tab,
z
and then press the [
Choose [Reset], and then press the [
z
button.
Touch [OK].

Switching the Color of Screen Information
Information displayed on the screen and menus can be changed to a color
suitable for shooting under low-light conditions. Enabling this setting is
useful in modes such as [ ] ( = 63).

Using Eco Mode
This function allows you to conserve battery power in Shooting mode.
When the camera is not in use, the screen quickly darkens to reduce
battery consumption.

Still Images
Choose [Night Display] on the [ 2] tab,

and then choose [On] ( = 29).
To restore the original display, choose
z
[Off].
You can also return the setting to [Off] by holding down the
[
] button for at least one second on the shooting screen or
in Playback mode during single-image display.

Configure the setting.
Choose [Eco Mode] on the [ 2] tab, and
z
then choose [On].
[
] is now shown on the shooting
z
screen ( = 188).
The screen darkens when the camera
z
is not used for approximately two
seconds; approximately ten seconds
after darkening, the screen turns off.
The camera turns off after approximately
three minutes of inactivity.
