Suspension Troubleshooting
Problem
Front end pushes
Steering is heavy
Setting up for deep
snow operation
Solution
• Check for worn skags.
• Adjust torsion spring preload (see page 33).
• Check for binding front suspension shafts and steering
components, grease all pivot points (elevate front of
machine).
• Increase IFS preload (if equipped) (see page 30).
• Install single skag (see your dealer).
• Rotate RRSS to high position (see page 36).
• Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely.
• Check ski alignment (see page 92).
• Check skags and skis for damage.
• Reduce ski pressure: Increase front track spring preload,
reduce IFS spring preload by adjusting cam, reduce rear
torsion spring preload (see page 33).
• Change worn rail slide.
