ELECTRONIC FILTER CLEAN REMINDER:
This model air purifier has an electronic filter check to
remind you when to clean the Main filter based on the
air purifier's hours of use.
Once a filter has reached the point where it should be
cleaned, its light will remain on until it is RESET. You
may unplug the air purifier without interrupting the filter
check memory function.
A red LED light will illuminate when it is time to clean
the filter.
Clean the HEPA-Type filter and pre-filter
(see cleaning instructions below) and then reset the
Electronic Filter Check.

Reset
To RESET the Electronic Filter Check:
When the filter monitor light remains on, it is time to
clean the Main filter and reset the filter monitor, if
needed. With the unit powered on, insert the tip of a
ball-point pen or paperclip next to the LED filter check
light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the
light turns off (Fig 4). Depending upon your individual
usage (environment and hours used), you may need to
check and clean the filter more or less frequently. If the
Main filter is cleaned before the filter monitor light turns
on, the filter monitor should be reset at the same time.
MAINTAINING YOUR STAGE 1 WASHABLE
PARTICLE PRE-FILTER:
The stage 1 particle pre-filter
helps pick up large airborne
particles that enter the front
grille.This pre-filter can be
periodically removed and shaken
to clean it.Alternatively, it can be
rinsed by hand under warm
water. (Fig 5).
Let the pre-filter air dry completely before inserting back
into the unit. If you need to replace this item, please see
Consumer Relations section on the next page.

CLEANING THE STAGE 2 HEPA-TYPE FILTER:
This model is equipped
with permanent HEPA-Type
filters which never need
replacement with normal
use.
To Clean Your HEPA-Type
Filter:
• DO NOT USE WATER OR
OTHER LIQUIDS TO
CLEAN THE HEPA-TYPE
FILTER.
• To vacuum-clean the filter, hold the filter and run
a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle or brush
attachment along the filter to pick-up the dirt and
particles (Fig. 6). Repeat along the entire surface
of the HEPA-Type filter. We recommend that a
vacuum with hepa filtration is used for cleaning
the filters.
• Note the filter may still be discolored even after
cleaning it. This is acceptable and will not affect
performance.
• After vacuuming the filter, place it back into the
air purifier housing and snap filter grille into
place.
These cleaning intervals are intended as guidelines
only. Performance of any filter media is dependent
upon the concentration of contaminates going
through the system. High concentrations of
contaminates such as dust, pet dander and
smoking will reduce the useful performance of
the filter.
NOTE: The HEPA-Type filters are not washable.
CLEANING AND STORAGE:
We recommend that you clean the air purifier at
least once a month and before extended storage.
Use only a dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces

of the air purifier. DO NOT USE WATER, WAX
POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
If your Air Purifier will not be used for more than 30
days, we recommend:
• Remove the Main Filter from the unit.
• Wrap the Main Filter in an air tight plastic bag.
