SPECIFICATIONS

• This appliance is designed as a cooler for drinks, NOT food.
• It is intended strictly for domestic use.
HOW TO MINIMISE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF
YOUR HUSKY DRINKS COOLER
Your drinks cooler should be located in the coolest area of the room, away
from sources of heat, and out of the direct sunlight. One characteristic of
thermoelectric units is the length of time it requires to recover from having
the door opened and shut frequently. It may be necessary to wait longer for
the temperature to return to its former level once the door has been opened
for too long. This is normal for this type of unit.
• Energy consumption will be lower if the unit stands in a well
ventilated space and in particular if vent at the back of the unit is
clear of obstruction.
• For good circulation, the vents must not be blocked.
• keep the door closed as much as possible to lessen the escape of
cold air.
• Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or a heat source such
as ovens, radiators, heaters, etc.
• For better air circulation, do not overfill the cabinet - overfilling
means that the cool air cannot circulate freely inside the cabinet
which may slow the process of cooling and make the cabinet less
efficient.
• Turn the appliance off completely if it is not required for a period of
days or longer to avoid wasting energy.

BASIC OPERATION

Your drinks cooler is intended to provide an internal storage temperature
range of between 8°C and 18°C (46°F to 64°F), depending upon the controls
setting and on the ambient temperature of the room. For best results it is
recommended to install the drinks cooler in a place where the ambient
temperature is generally between 23°C and 26°C (72°F and 78°F). If the
ambient temperature is outside of this range then performance may be
affected and the interior temperature may be pushed outside of 8°C to 18°C.
• Recommended Temperatures for Chilling Wine
Red wines: 14-18°C/57-65°F
White wines: 9-14°C/49-58°F
Rosé wines: 10-11°C/51-53°F
Sparkling wines: 5-9°C/40-49°F

Setting the temperature control

Your drinks cooler is fitted with an automatic control panel lock that activates
12 seconds after the last time a button has been touched. To unlock the panel
press the UP and DOWN buttons together and at the same time for three
seconds. You will hear a 'beep'. The panel is now active for 12 seconds.
You can display the temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit by pressing
the °F/°C button. REMEMBER: you will need to unlock the control panel first
(see above). The appropriate indicator will illuminate.
You may set the temperature as you wish by pressing the UP or DOWN
buttons on the control panel. The set temperature will increase by 1ºF or 1ºC
for each depression of the UP button. The temperature will decrease by 1ºF
or 1ºC for each depression of the DOWN button.
If you store mostly red wines, the temperature will ideally be set between
14-18ºC (57-65ºF). The Red indicator ("R") will illuminate in red.
If you store mostly white wines, the temperature will ideally be set between
9-14ºC (49-58ºF). The White indicator ("W") will illuminate in blue.
NOTE: When you use the appliance for the first time or restart it after having
been turned off for a long time, there may be a few degrees difference
between the temperature you select and the one indicated on the LED
readout. This is normal. Once the drinks cooler has been running for a few
hours the display will stabilise.
Capacity
You may place up to 12 standard-sized 75cl bottles in this drinks cooler. As
bottles differ widely in size the actual number of bottles may vary.

Interior light

First, activate the control panel as detailed above. The interior light may then
be turned ON or OFF by pushing the button marked with the "Light" symbol.
The light will turn off automatically after 10 minutes.
