Fitting and replacing the
charcoal filter
If the rangehood is connected for
recirculation, a charcoal filter must be
inserted in addition to the grease filter.
This is designed to absorb cooking
odours.
It is fitted in the chimney above the
grease filter.
Replacement charcoal filters can be
obtained from your Chartered Agent
or Miele.
See back cover for contact details,
and "Technical data" for type and
reference number.
^ Before fitting or replacing the
charcoal filter, the outer filter and the
grease filter must first be taken out.
See previous section for instructions
on how to do this.
^ When fitting for the first time:
A guide is installed for extraction
mode which has to be removed for
recirculation mode.
Loosen the screws on it, and remove
it.
Cleaning and care
^ To remove the charcoal filter, pull
down on the tab at the back of the
filter.
^ Take the new filter out of its
packaging.
^ Fit the filter into the front of the
chimney; push it upwards at the
back, and press it firmly into position.
^ Replace the grease filter and then the
outer filter.
When fitting for the first time:
^ Activate the operating hours counter
(see "Use").
