Insert the front end of the ink tank into the
Print Head.
Make sure the position of the tank matches the
label (F).

Press on the
until the ink tank snaps firmly into place.
Confirm that the ink lamp (G) lights up red.

Gently close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover).
The machine automatically stirs the inks.
Wait until the machine has stopped making operational sounds (up to 2 minutes). Do not open
the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) while the machine is operating.
Caution
Be sure to hold the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) firmly using both hands, and be careful not to
get your fingers caught.
Do not hold the LCD.
Note
If the error message is still displayed after the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) is closed, refer to
"An Error Message Is Displayed on the LCD" in the User's Guide on-screen manual.
When you start printing after replacing the ink tank, Print Head Cleaning is performed
automatically. Do not perform any other operations until Print Head Cleaning finishes. Wait until
you cannot hear the operation noise.
