Watching a Video CD

Depending on the Video CD, some operations
may be different or restricted. Refer to the
instructions supplied with your disc.
Note
This unit switches the colour system, PAL/NTSC,
according to the TV. For details, see "Changing the
sound and display settings" on page 17.

Turn on the connected mobile colour
TV and select the video input so that
you can view the pictures from this
unit.

Press (OPEN) and insert the disc
(labelled side up).

Close the front panel.
Playback starts automatically.
Tip
The menu screen may appear on the TV screen,
depending on the Video CD. To play the disc
interactively, follow the instructions on the menu
screen. For details, see "PBC (Playback Control)
functions" on page 14.
If a disc is already inserted, press (SOURCE)
repeatedly until "VCD" appears to start
playback.
To Press
(6) (PAUSE)
Pause playback
and resume play
after pause
Play at slow speed (3) (SLOW)
Each press changes the
playback speed as follows:
1/2 times normal speed
1/4 times normal speed
1/8 times normal speed
normal playback speed.
(OFF)
Stop playback
(OPEN) then Z
Eject the disc
(SEEK) (–/+)
Skip tracks
– Automatic (./>)
Music Sensor [once for each track]
(SEEK) (–/+)
Fast-forward/
reverse* (m/M)
– Manual Search [hold to desired point]
* Pressing (SEEK) (+) for more than 3 seconds
further increase the preview speed.
