When work- ing on indoor units, let the unit sit for about  minute after turning off the power before you begin work. When work- ing on an outdoor unit, there may be an electrical charge applied to the main circuit (electrolytic condenser), so begin work only after discharging this electrical charge (to DC 0 V or lower).
