releasing only when the indicator light
flashes (after 20 seconds). Do not
repeat this step when programming
additional buttons.
• Position the end of your hand-held
transmitter 1–3 inches away from
the remote button you wish to
program.
• Simultaneously press and hold the
remote button and hand-held trans-
mitter button until the indicator light
flashes rapidly; then release both but-
tons. Programming may take up to 90
seconds.
• Press and hold the programmed
Universal Home Remote button and
observe the indicator light.
If the indicator light stays on con-
stantly, programming is complete and
your device should activate when the
remote button is pressed and
released.
If the indicator light flashes rapidly
for two seconds and then stays on
constantly, continue with the next
step to complete the programming of
a rolling code-equipped garage door
opener.
• Firmly press and release the training
button on the garage door opener
motor-head. Within 30 seconds,
return to the vehicle and firmly press,
hold for two seconds and release the
programmed Universal Home Remote
button up to three times to complete
the programming.
