Error handling
Error Possible cause
The device is just measuring.
The battery is too weak for further
measurements.
The measurement was aborted
before the measuring process
was completed.
There was a rude change in
ambient temperature during
the measuring process.
The ambient temperature does
not range between 10 °C and
40 °C (50 °F ~ 104 °F).
Errors 5-9: The device does not
work properly.
The measured temperature is higher
than 42.2 °C (108.0 °F).
The measured temperature is lower
than 34.0 °C (93.2 °F).
The device is not ready.
Maintenance and storage
• Use a dry cloth to clean the device after each use (recommended).
• Clean the measuring lens and sensor after each use.
• Do not immerse the device in water.
• Do not use gas or strong cleaning agents.
• If the measuring device is not used for a longer time, the battery should be remo-
ved. (Leaking batteries may damage the device).
• Protect the measuring device from direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity and
dust.
• Do not expose the device to extremely low (below –20 °C (-4.0 °F)) or high (above
50 °C (122.0 °F)) temperatures.
