NEVER OBSTRUCT THE FRONT OPENING OF THE APPLIANCE. GRATE INSTALLATION 4.3.1 Remove the 3 screws from the location shown in the base of the fi rebox. 4.3.2 Secure the grate to the fi rebox base using the 3 screws removed. LOG PLACEMENT LOGS MUST BE PLACED IN THEIR EXACT LOCATION IN THE APPLIANCE. DO NOT MODIFY THE PROPER LOG POSITIONS, SINCE APPLIANCE MAY NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND DELAYED THE LOGS ARE FRAGILE AND SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE. -

USING NON-LISTED ACCESSORIES (BLOWERS, DOORS, LOUVRES, TRIMS, GAS COMPONENTS, VENTING COMPONENTS, ETC.) COULD RESULT IN A SAFETY HAZARD AND WILL ENSURE THAT THE FAN’S POWER CORD IS NOT IN CONTACT WITH ANY SURFACE OF THE APPLIANCE TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR FIRE DAMAGE. -

7.0 ADJUSTMENTS PILOT BURNER ADJUSTMENT Adjust the pilot screw to provide properly sized fl ame. Turn in a clockwise direction to reduce the gas fl ow. Inlet pressure can be checked by turning screw (A) counter- clockwise until loosened and then placing pressure gauge tubing over the test point. -

FLAME ADJUSTMENT Turn counter- clockwise to decrease fl ame height FLAME CHARACTERISTICS It’s important to periodically perform a visual check of the pilot and burner fl ames. 10.0 TROUBLE SHOOTING ALWAYS LIGHT THE PILOT WHETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME OR IF THE GAS SUPPLY HAS RAN OUT, SYMPTOM Main burner goes out; pilot stays on. Main burner goes out; pilot goes out. Pilot goes out when the gas knob is released. - Page 24 SYMPTOM Pilot goes out while standing; Main burner is in ‘OFF’ position. Flames are consistently too large or too small. Carboning occurs. Flames are very aggressive. Main burner fl ame is a blue, lazy, transparent fl ame. Carbon is being deposited on glass, logs or combustion chamber surfaces.
