Selecting the MP3
Booster effect
You can improve the sound quality of MP3
audio tracks during playback.
Press MP3 BOOSTER repeatedly.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
BOOSTER ON t BOOSTER OFF
Tips
• The default setting is "BOOSTER ON".
• When "BOOSTER ON" is selected, "MP3
BOOSTER" lights up in the display.
• MP3 Booster setting only can be changed when disc
with MP3 audio tracks is selected during "CD"
function.

Using the sub woofer

You can use the sound of the sub woofer to
enhance the bass.

Press SUB WOOFER ON/OFF
repeatedly until the indicator lights up.
The sub woofer is turned on.

Press ILLUMINATION/SUB WOOFER
LEVEL repeatedly to select the sub
woofer level setting.

Turn and hold . OPERATION DIAL

and release it when you reach the sub
woofer level you want.
The sub woofer level changes as below:
0 dB y +3 dB y +6 dB y +9 dB

Press ILLUMINATION/SUB WOOFER
LEVEL again to exit the sub woofer
level setting.
To turn off the sub woofer
Press SUB WOOFER ON/OFF repeatedly until
the indicator turns off.
Note
If you turn MASTER VOLUME (or press VOLUME
+/– on the remote), the volume for all speakers will
change.
Tip
You can turn MASTER VOLUME (or press
VOLUME +/– on the remote) to adjust the volume of
the sub woofer linked to the front speakers.
Singing karaoke by
reducing the vocal or
selecting the audio
channel
(MHC-GNX660 only)
When playing a multiplex AUDIO CD or
multiplex CDG (disc with the vocals on one
channel and the instruments on the other
channel), you can switch the sound to cancel the
vocals and listen only to the instruments from
both speakers. Beside this, you can cancel the
vocal of the stereo disc by using the KARAOKE
PON function.
