UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY
Remove the parts and Dovetail Jig assembly from the color box.Hold
on to the color box and packaging incase they might be needed later
on. You should have the following items;
1. Dovetail Jig assembly.
2. Hand Levers (2).
3. Instruction Manual.
The Dovetail Jig is shipped practically assembled. Assembling the 2
Hand Levers to the Dovetail Jig is the only assembly required. Screw
the threaded end of each Hand Lever into the clamping rods . See Fig.
1.
MOUNTING
1. Place Dovetail Jig on a permanent work bench or a piece of
plywood 3/4" thick, place and rest front lap of Dovetail Jig against
the front of the bench top or plywood.
2. Locate mounting holes at the rear of the Dovetail Jig and secure to
bench or plywood.

The K-2796 is designed to produce half-blind dovetail joints with a
router, 7/16" guide bushing, and 14
Half-blind dovetails are very strong and are commonly used in fine
drawer construction. The term "half-blind" refers to the fact that the
pins and tails can only be seen from the side.
1. The K-2796 is capable of processing material up to 1 1/4" thick and
up to 12" wide.
2. It is designed to be used with 1/4" shank, 1/2", 14
only. The bit should protrude approximately 17/32" below the
base.
3. The maximum router base size that can be used with this jig is 7" in
diameter.
4. The guide bushing should protrude 1/8" to 3/16" from the base of
the router and be 7/16" in outside diameter (O.D.).
NOTE !
This jig can only be used with a guide bushing attached to your
router base.
