Factory IP Address Below are the initial factory IP address settings for the IP camera: IP Address 192.168.1.2 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.1 Using EtroScan™ EtroScan™ allows users to easily find an IP camera and configure the settings. Select EtroScan™ from the start menu to start.

Press the Scan button to list the IP and MAC address list for IP cameras on the network. A new IP camera will display the factory IP address, 192.168.1.2. However, if multiple new devices are present on the network, then multiple instances of 192.168.1.2 will be listed.
To identify a specific IP camera, use the MAC address which is located on the bottom of the camera. Below is an example of the label displaying the MAC address. Change Network Setting via EtroScan™ There are two ways to modify the network settings. 1.
After altering the IP camera network settings, click Apply. A prompt for the administrator authentication will be displayed: The default password for the administrator account (root) is pass. Enter the default password and click OK to confirm the changes. After applying the new network settings, the IP camera will reboot; this process takes about 45 seconds.

Press OK button to access to the Live View web page. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. The administrator password should be changed after installation is complete. Please refer to the User Manual for more information. Upon login, the error “ActiveX control failed to load (OCX)” may be encountered. The error indicates the browser requires adding certain ActiveX controls for the viewer to work.

Clicking on the add-on message will bring up options; choose Run Add-on to add. A confirmation message box will be displayed; choose Run. Wait for the add-on to complete and the page to attempt reloading. Most likely other ActiveX controls will be required. Repeat the above procedure of adding ActiveX controls until the no other add-on requests are displayed and the Live View page loads without error.
3 ETROLINK™ CONFIGURATION PORT The EtroLink™ USB Configuration Port provides an alternate method of configuration. The EtroLink™ USB Configuration allows configuration using a Quick Config Wizard which requires no software installation. 3.1 OS Requirements The PC which will access the IP camera using the EtroLink™ USB port requires the following to run the EtroLink™...

Selecting “DHCP” and Next: Selecting “PPPoE” and Next: Enter all the relevant network settings, and click Next. Step 3 Regardless of network connection type, step 3 and 4 are the same.
1. Connect the IP camera and PC using the mini USB cable. 2. Wait a moment for the PC to recognize the IP camera as a new drive. 3. Using Windows Explorer, find the IP camera represented as a new drive. The Etrovision logo should help identify the specific drive.
4. Highlight the drive (i.e. E:) to view he contents. 5. Find the “ClickMeFirst” HTML file, and double click. The Quick Config utility will be initiated using Internet Explorer. 3.3 Factory Default The factory default settings can be restored using the Quick Config Wizard. Restoring factory settings will result in the loss of the current IP camera’s configuration.

3.4 Missing root Password If the root password has been forgotten, then factory settings will need to be restored using the EtroLink™ USB port. At the Quick Config login screen, use CTRL+ALT+F to restore factory settings. Type CTRL+ALT+F: Click OK Click OK The following message shows that the operation is complete.

Click OK The video server/camera will now be configured with the default 192.168.1.2 IP address, and the default username/password of root/pass. Use EtroScan or the Web UI to manually reconfigure the device, or a backup configuration can be restored if available.
4 CAMERA LED INDICATORS The IP camera back (or combo cable if an outdoor or dome camera) has 3 LED indicators which display the camera state or activities. Red: the power LED Green: network connection LED Orange: network transmission LED The table below highlights various camera states and corresponding Power LED indicators.
