Phone Setup
The features category highlights some of the special
functions on your Sprint PCS Phone. They include:
Data/Fax In sets the phone to receive data or
fax transmissions. When this is set to On, you
will not be able receive any incoming voice
calls.
Roaming sets the phone to operate in
Sprint PCS Service Areas only or apply roaming
rates outside Sprint PCS Service Areas. You can
also set up a warning whenever roaming
charges apply.

"Setting your Phone's Roam Mode" on page 47.
Any Key Answer allows you to answer the
phone by the press of any button on your
phone, except for the volume buttons,

Learning the Settings
Web Guard prompts you to confirm that you
want to end a Sprint PCS Wireless Web call.
Car Kit sets the phone to automatically pick
up after two rings. You can choose "on" or
"off". This feature works great with the hands-
free car kit.
Speaker Phone allows you to turn on
speaker phone by opening the flip or by
selecting a menu option.
Abbre. Dialing allows you define the area
code and either 2-digit or 6-digit dialing prefix
(depending on you are using 5-digit or 4-digit
dialing). This allows you to enter either the
last 5 digits or last 4 digits of a number to
make a call.
Phone Book View allows you view the
phone book by listing all contacts or by listing
only speed dial entries.
Touch Calibration is used to configure
your stylus to the touch screen when the flip
is open.
Keyguard
The keyguard feature disables the keypad so that
your phone is protected against accidental dialing
while the phone is on but not in use. For more
information on this feature, see "Using KeyGuard"
on page 132.
