The electrical steering wheel adjustment
feature can be operated at any time.
Therefore, do not leave children unattended
in the vehicle, or with access to an unlocked
vehicle. A child's unsupervised access to a
vehicle could result in an accident and/or
serious personal injury.
Adjusting the steering wheel

Steering wheel heating
Switching on/off
The steering-wheel heating heats the leather
areas of the steering wheel.

Make sure that the SmartKey is in position
2 in the ignition lock.

To switch on/off: turn the lever in the
direction of arrow : or ;.
Indicator lamp = comes on or goes out.
Vehicles without KEYLESS-GO: the steering
wheel heating is deactivated if you remove
the SmartKey from the ignition lock.
Vehicles with KEYLESS-GO: the steering
wheel heating is deactivated if you remove
the key from the ignition lock and open the
driver's door.
i The steering wheel heating deactivates, if
the temperature of the vehicle interior is
higher than 86 ‡ (30 †).
i The steering wheel heating is switched off
automatically after about 24 minutes.
EASY-ENTRY/EXIT

Important safety instructions

The EASY-ENTRY/EXIT feature makes getting
in and out of your vehicle easier.
You can activate and deactivate the EASY-
ENTRY/EXIT feature using COMAND
( Y page 258).

Warning
You must make sure no one can become
trapped or injured by the moving steering
wheel and driver's seat when the EASY-
ENTRY/EXIT feature is activated.
