Procedure 7.13 - Replacing a Ramp Assembly
Warning: Care must be taken when work is being performed in the area of the stairarms. Pinch
points exist between the stairarm and ramp and between the stairarm and crankarm,
when the rear covers are removed.
Press the QUICK START key, while striding on the unit raise the incline to level 17.

Remove the right and left rear covers per Procedure 7.15 and pivot both stairarms to the
rear of the unit.

Remove the two bolts that fasten the lower rear portion of the ramp to the frame. See
Diagram 7.8.

Remove the four bolts (two on top and two on the bottom) that fasten the upper end of the
ramp to the lift motor yoke. See Diagram 7.9.

Carefully lift the ramp and slide it off of the lift motor yoke.

Slide the replacement ramp onto the lift motor yoke and hand start the four upper lift motor
bolts removed in step 4. Apply blue loctite to the threads of the lower ramp bolts removed in
step 3. Hand start the two lower ramp mounting bolts and then torque them to 35 foot
pounds. Torque the four upper ramp mounting bolts to 240 inch pounds.
