Motor Settings
The carburettor is perfectly pre-adjusted for the first runs ex works. A rich carburettor setting is used to supply the
motor sufficiently with lubrication in the run-in phase. This is shown by strong white smoke development from the
exhaust.
The rich carburettor setting should be maintained for the first 2 - 3 tank fillings. Additionally, do not use any long full-
throttle phases and run in the motor carefully with different speeds.
a) General Setting of the Carburettor
Depending on mixture used, spark plug, muffler and ambient conditions like barometric pressure and humidity, small
changes in the carburettor setting may be required. The fine settings of idle and full throttle are only possible with the
engine well run in.
