Car Wash Guidelines

Automatic car washes are not
recommended. Some automatic car
washes will cause damage to your
vehicle, wheels, or convertible top, if
equipped.
If you drive your vehicle through an
automatic car wash that does not have
enough clearance for the undercarriage
and/or wide rear tires, you could
damage your vehicle. Verify with the
manager of the car wash that your
vehicle will fit before entering the car
wash. To avoid possible damage, use
touchless automatic car washes.
See Section 5 of your Owner Manual.

Z06 Features

Checking Engine Oil
Z06 models are equipped with a
high performance dry sump engine
lubrication system. This system
operates differently than a standard
engine lubrication system.
You should check your oil level only
after the engine has been thoroughly
warmed up and then shut off for at least
five minutes. This ensures that the oil
level reading obtained will be accurate.
Note: Do not read the oil level after
extended periods of vehicle inactivity,
as the level indicated will not be
accurate and may falsely indicate a low
level condition. Any oil added due to this
method of reading may cause the
engine to be over-filled and can lead to
engine damage.
Z06 models also require a special
procedure for changing the engine oil
and filter; refer to your Owner Manual.
Jump Starting the Battery
The battery of your Z06 is located in the
rear of the vehicle. You do not need
access to the battery for jump starting.
There are remote positive (+) and
negative (–) terminals located under the
hood for this purpose. Refer to your
Owner Manual for the locations of the
terminals.
Note: Improper jump starting could
result in costly damage to your vehicle
that would not be covered by your
warranty. Be sure to follow all of the
steps in your Owner Manual to safely
and properly jump start your vehicle.
See Section 5 of your Owner Manual.
