●Dust masks to provide protection from
dust. Note: Some materials (MDF, and
some tropical hardwoods etc.) can produce
dust that can be prejudicial to your health.
Always wear an approved dust mask when
cutting these materials.
●Safety gloves should be worn when
handling the blade (during installation or
removal of a blade etc.). It is not advisable
to operate the machine whilst wearing
gloves.
●Carry saw blades in a holder whenever
practicable.
●Only use this saw to cut materials which
are recommended in this Instruction
Manual.
●Check the operation of all the machines
safety guard(s) before each use. Do not
use the machine if the safety guard(s) do
not deploy correctly. Have the machine
serviced or repaired before continued use.
●Check that the fitted saw blade is
compatible with the machine and that the
speed rating marked on the saw blade is
at least equal to the no load speed
marked on the machines rating plate.
●If fitted with a laser cutting guide this
must not be replaced with a different
version. If a laser guide fails to operate it
must be replaced or repaired by the
manufacturer or his authorised service
agent.

●Only replace the saw blade by following
the instructions found in this Instruction
Manual.
●Keep the work area as clean and tidy as
possible, and free from debris, sawdust,
cut offs etc.
●Whenever possible secure the
work-piece to the rotary table using the
clamp provided.
●Ensure that the Mitre Saw is mounted in
a stable position before each cut.
●The Mitre Saw can be mounted directly
onto a workbench if required. As an
alternative the Mitre Saw can be mounted
onto a wooden base-board which in turn
can be temporarily or permanently bolted to
a suitable stable work bench or similar.
●Long work-pieces should be
additionally supported by the use of an
appropriate remote work-piece support.
This should be adjusted so the bearing
surface of the remote support matches the
height of the machines table.
●All operators using this machine must
read these instructions and familiarize
themselves with the machines controls.
●Never leave the saw unattended and
running. Do not leave the saw until the saw
has been switched OFF, and the blade has
come to a complete halt.

CARRYING YOUR MITRE SAW

Note: Although compact this Mitre Saw is
heavy. To limit the risk of back strain or
injury enlist competent help whenever you
have to lift the saw.
●Hold the saw close to your body during
a lift. Bend your knees so that you can lift
using your legs not your back.
●Lift by using the handhold areas
identified in this Instruction Manual.
●Never use the power cord to lift or move
this machine. You risk damaging the
electrical connections or insulation of the
machine. This could produce a potentially
dangerous situation resulting in an
increased risk of electric shock or fire.
●Do not use the blade guard as a lifting
point.
●Remember to remove the mains plug
form the mains supply socket. Store the
plug and supply cord safely on the machine
before attempting to move or transport the
machine to a new location.
●Before moving the saw check:
●The Cutting Head is locked in its lowest
position.
●The Rotary Table is locked in either of its
maximum settings.
●The Bevel Locking Handle is tightened so
that bevel neck is secured.
●The Slide Locking Lever is tightened to
secure the sliding carriage.
●When repositioning the machine at a
new location a safety check should be
carried out. Check particularly the
operation of all of the machines safety
features and guard(s) before attempting to
operate the machine.
THE LASER CUTTING GUIDE
This machine is equipped with a Laser
Cutting Guide. This allows the operator
to preview the path of the blade through
the work-piece. The Laser projects a
beam when the slide switch located in the
right hand edge of the Cutting Head 'D'
handle is operated.
Avoid direct eye contact with the laser
beam, and do not use on material that
could reflect the laser beam.
WARNING: Do not stare directly at the
laser beam. A hazard may exist if you
deliberately stare into the beam. Please
observe all of the following safety rules.
The laser beam must not be deliberately
aimed at people or animals, and must be
prevented from being directed towards
the eyes of a person.
Always ensure that the laser beam is
used only on work-pieces that have
non-reflective surfaces, i.e. natural wood
or matt surfaces etc.
Never exchange the laser module
assembly for a different type or class of
laser.
Repairs to the laser module must only be
conducted by Pingtek or their authorized
agent.
Note: The Laser Cutting Guide gives the
operator a useful indication as to the path
of the blade. However it should not be
