    3. Getting Started What is the SIM card? When registering your mobile phone number, you will have a SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module) provided by the network supplier. With the SIM card, which stores many parameters required for communication, you can use the various functions of the phone and store personal information, including PIN (Personal Identification Number), phonebook, message and other additional system services.

To install the SIM card at the back of the phone, follow the steps below: Turn the phone over to the back and remove the battery by pushing up the battery latch. With the metal contacts of the SIM card downward and the unfilled corner against the one within the groove, put the card into the groove gently and push it down until it doesn't move.
  • Page 12 You can get PIN1 code while obtaining the SIM card from your network supplier, which usually has 4 digits. During input of PIN1 code, the screen will display “*” to substitute the inputted content. PIN2 It is Personal Identification Number required when you use specific functions provided by the network, such as charge information etc.

The phone will automatically search the network if the SIM card and the phone have no password protection. After the phone is registered in the network, the network name will be displayed on the screen.
