• When formatting, use the batteries which the remaining power is enough or AC
adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1).
• During formatting, do not turn the power off.
• If the card cannot be formatted, consult your dealer.

Usually, it is not necessary to format the card
(initializing). Format the card when this
message is displayed "MEMORY CARD
ERROR".
• If the card has been formatted by a PC or
other equipment, format the card on the
camera again.

• Set the mode dial to playback [

Press the [MENU] button.

Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and
then press 1.

When this message is displayed
"DELETE ALL DATA ON THE MEMORY
CARD?", press 2/1 to select [YES].

Press the 4/[REVIEW/SET] button.
