If your installation does not meet the mini-
mum clearances in Figure 7, you must:
• raise the mantel to an acceptable height,
OR
• remove the mantel.

electRIcAl hookup

This firebox has a blower assembly with an
electrical cord. This electrical cord is five
feet in length. You must locate the firebox
within reach of a 10-volt grounded electri-
cal outlet. If not, you must install an electrical
outlet within reach of firebox power cord. The
GA3555 outlet accessory may be used for
built-in installation.

duplex outlet for built-in instal-
lation. follow all local codes. in
absence of local codes, follow
the National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70 (Latest Edition).

NotIce: if a log set is currently
installed in the firebox, disconnect
log set from gas supply and remove
from firebox. Contact a qualified
service person to do this.
Note: Appearance of firebox may vary slightly
depending on model.
1. Remove the firebox bottom:
a. Remove the  screws that secure the
bottom of the firebox (see Figure 9).
b. Carefully raise and remove the firebox
bottom from the firebox.
