Turning the Computer On and Off
On the Charms

Open the Charms.
• T ouch screen: Swipe inward from the right edge.
• M ouse: Drag the mouse pointer to the top- or the bottom-
right corner of the screen.

Click Settings > Power
If you want to power off your computer when you are logged
out, unlock the screen and click Power
> Shut down.
> Shut down.
Unlocking the screen
To unlock the lock screen, do one of the following:
• Touch screen: Swipe the lock screen from bottom to top.
• Mouse: Click the lock screen.
• Keyboard: Press any key.

If the account has a password, enter the password to log in after
unlocking the screen.
