3-1. When you think a malfunction has occurred

AUTO ACCESS SEAT
If you suspect that the AUTO ACCESS SEAT is malfunctioning, try
the correction procedures listed in the table below.
If the seat still does not operate even after trying the procedures, it is
likely that the seat is malfunctioning. Do not use the AUTO ACCESS
SEAT, and have the seat inspected by your Toyota dealer immedi-
ately.

If the AUTO ACCESS SEAT does not move

Reason
The seat belt of the AUTO
ACCESS SEAT is buckled.
The right-hand sliding door is
not opened fully.
The shift lever is in a position
other than P.

Correction procedure
Unbuckle the seat belt and try operating
the AUTO ACCESS SEAT again.
Open the right-hand sliding door fully.
Shift the shift lever to P.
