5. PC-MOUSE Microcomputer
IMOI (M37470M4)
(see Fig. 5.1 and 5.2)
In PC mode, PC-PS2 mouse can be controlled by the R/C handset through a connection to the PC via the 6pin
mini din jack provided at the rear of the unit. The microcomputer
for mouse control is lMO1 (M37470M4,
an 8-bit
controller). 1001 the main u-con is the master and IMOI is the slave. Communication
between the PC, 1001, and
lM0-l is through Bi-directional Serial Bus of TTL level.
Communication
request from the PC is through the PS-2 CLK. and DATA lines. lMO1 REQ. output (pin #I) is sent
to 1001 (pin #4). 1001 sends CLK and DATA signals from pins 8 and 12 to IMOI pins 2 and 4.
QMOI and QM02 are switches send elk and data signals to PC via the I/O pins of the jack (JM03). IMOI pin#l8
is the reset IM02 is the reset IC which holds pin #I8 "L" for 2uS or more until the VCC rises to approx. 5V.
