Using the Answering System

Your telephone's integrated answering system uses audible prompts to provide access to
the system's features and help you set up the device.
In order to access the answering machine features and change the settings, you must
press the MENU button located on the base unit.
When you press the MENU button, the display window on your base unit flashes a code to
indicate the current feature.

Turn on or off
A1 is available when Announce only (Ao) is off. A2 is
available when Announce only is on.
Set the code you will use to access messages from a
remote touch-tone phone. Choose a four-digit number.
The default code is 0000.
Turn on or off — when turned on, the feature does not
allow callers to leave a message (e.g., "I am sorry I am
not available. Please call back later.")
Turn on or off the audible alert that beeps every 10
