Kanji/English Grabber
You can scan kanji and English words with
camera and display readings or meanings. You
can also search the scanned characters in
dictionaries.
The readings or meanings displayed in Kanji/
English Grabber is based on "明鏡国語辞典MX"

In the home screen, [R]/[Camera
Reader]/[Switch reader]/[Kanji/
English]
: To adjust the brightness: Slide your finger
up/down

Display the characters to scan in
the loupe frame of the screen
: The scan results and readings or meanings
appear in a speech bubble.
･ Up to two readings or meanings appear.
[,] appears when three or more.
: To search the scanned characters in
dictionaries: While displaying the scan
results, [Select]/[Dictionary]/search in
dictionaries
: To search the scanned characters using
Google search: While displaying the scan
results, [Select]/[Search]
The scan results are not saved.
The characters may not be scanned correctly
due to scratches, dirt, lighting conditions or text
size.

Text reader

You can scan an article of newspaper,
magazines, etc. by using the camera, and
perform various operations.

Point the cursor to the line to scan
