    INSTALLATION 1. Connect the telephone line cord, one side into the wall socket, another side to the base station socket. 2. Power-up the base station by connecting the AC power adapter to the mains socket and another side to the power jack of the base station. The Power LED at the base station will turn on.

    USAGE TO RECEIVE A CALL: When the handset is ringing, press any key on the handset and start conversa- tion. PREVIEW DIALING: 1. Enter the phone number (max. of 20 digits) during standby. Use button to edit any wrong entry. 2.

    PAGING HANDSET: 1. Press the button on the base, the In-use LED will flash. All the registered handsets within the operation range will ring and the display will show [BASE] 2. Press the button on the base again to stop the paging. Or press any key and button on a handset to stop the ringing.

    CALLER-ID This telephone is equipped with Caller Display Function, which allows you to read the caller's name / number before you answer an incoming call. In order to have this Caller Display Function, you need to subscribe the Caller Display servi- ces provided by your local telephone company.

    PHONE BOOK There are 20 memories for the PHONE BOOK. You may store a name (with 10 characters) and a phone number (with 20 digits) into each memory. Three basic operations are: ADD ENTRY, EDIT/DELETE, SEARCH. ADD ENTRY: 1. Press button to enter menu mode during standby.

    SEARCH: 1. Press button to enter menu mode during standby. 2. Press ∆/∇ button to select [PHONEBOOK]. 3. Press OK button to confirm the selection and the display will show [SEARCH]. 4. Press OK button to review the Phone Book. The first name, according to the alphabetical order, will be displayed.

    SETTINGS CHANGE THE BASE PIN: Base PIN (Personal Identification Number or Personal Security Code) is a four- digit code to protect the base from illegal registration and access. The factory default PIN-code is 0000. 1. Press button to enter menu mode during standby. 2.

    BABY CALL: This feature is specially designed for the little kids (or old people) to make an emergency call by pressing any single key. When this function is turned on, any key-press (except OK button and button) during standby will dial out the Baby Call number only.

    AUTO ANSWERING (PDX-1715 only) INTRODUCTION: * When the Answer Mode is set to ON, the number of rings for the system to answer a call could be selected as 2, 4, 5 or toll saver. * When the Answer Mode is set to OFF, the number of rings for the system to answer a call is 8 for user to use remote access.

    REMOTE CONTROL: Line Remote Access: Any phone with tone dialing function can be used to call the PDX-1715 and check Incoming Messages in a remote way. After the PDX-1715 answers the call and OGM is playing, enter the 4 digits security code to enter the Remote mode.
