Before First Use • Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete. • Place the appliance on an even, non-slippery and heat resistant surface. • Fully unwind the power cord (8) and connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket. Note: The cooking plates (5) have a protective coating. To remove the protective layers on the heating elements, heat up the cooking plates (without food) for a few minutes.

Broiling When broiling your food, you can either choose to have the lid closed or to open the appliance 180º. Broiling with closed lid Perfect for broiling steaks, chops, Panini, etc. 1. Follow steps 1 – 4 as described under Toasting Sandwiches and make sure that you have applied some butter or oil to the grill plates (5b).
