NODE CHECK - <nc> Command Line

The Node Check command line is a useful command for checking the running status of any remote
node connected to the ring/bus topology from any particular node that the USB cable is plugged into.
This enables the user to perform a node check on any OSD2244 unit from one location on the ring/bus
network.
The Node Check command requires the MAC address number for the node being interrogated. The
command line format is as follows;
nc 00 26 dc xx xx xx
Notes: When entering the MAC address, leave one space between every two hex digits as shown in the
example in Figure 20.
The information displayed is the remote MAC address, Topology, Node Role, Port Role and Float
Backup status.
