To become better acquainted with
the defrost fi.mction,defrost frozen
pork chops by followingthe steps
below.
Step 1:Placea l-lb.packageoffi-ozen
chops in the oven and close door.
Step 2: Touch TIME DEFROST
Display shows : Oand "POWER 3~'
"ENTER D13FTIME" flashes.
Step 3: Select one half of the total
defrosting time recommended in
your cookbook. For example, touch
4,0 and Ofor4 minutes. Display
shows 4:00 and "POWER 3."
"MN? TIME" flashes.If you wish to
change power level, touch POWER
LE~E1.. pad and then new number.
Step 4: TouchSTART."DEF
TIME" showsand time counts
down on display.When cycleis
completed, the oven signals and
flashes "EndJ'then automatically
shuts off.
Step 5: Turn packageover, close
door and repeat Steps2 and 3 to set
remaining half of defrostingtime
and touch START.
Step 6: When oven signalsand
flashes "End~'open door, remove
package and separate chops to
finish defrosting.
Tips
~ Foods frozen in paper or plastic
can be defrosted in the package.
@ For even defrosting, some foods
need to be broken up or separated
part of the way through the
defrosting time.

A. This sound is normal. It is

Q. Can I defrost small items in
a hurry?
A. Yes,but they will need more
frequent attentionthan usual. Raise
the powerlevel after entering the
time by touchingthe desired power
levelpad. Powerlevel7 cuts the
total defrostingtime about in 1/2;
power level 10cutsthe total
defrostingtime to approximately
1/3.During either, rotate or stir
food frequently.

Why
don't
the
defrosting
times
in
the cookbook
seem
right
for my food'?
A. Cookbook times are averages.
Defrosting time can vary according
to the temperature in your freezer.
Set your oven for the time indicated
in your cookbook. If your food is
still not completely thawed at the
end of that time, reset your oven
and adjust the time accordingly.
